Women Association Scholarship of American University For Postgraduate Program in USA 2023/2024

Dear Sisters, This article is about Women Association Scholarship of American University. Association for Women Scholarship. There have been international fellowships since 1917.

The program offers assistance to women who do not hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and who want to return to their native country to pursue a professional career and full-time graduate or postdoctoral studies in the United States. Association for Women Scholarship.

Women who are members of Graduate Women International may be eligible for a small number of grants to study abroad (other than in the candidate’s place of residence) (see the list of GWI affiliates).

However, graduate and postgraduate programs at recognized American schools are supported. By the application deadline, candidates had to have earned the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in the United States and submitted applications to the schools they intended to attend.

Additionally, they were chosen because of their academic success and shown dedication to women and girls. To become influential figures in commerce, politics, academics, community involvement, the arts, or science, applicants go back to their native nations.

Worth of Women Association Scholarship of American University

The International Fellowships cover:

  • Master’s/first professional degree: $18,000.
  • Doctoral: $20,000.
  • Postdoctoral: $30,000.

Eligibility for Women Association Scholarship. 

  • Previous beneficiaries of any national fellowship or grant offered by AAUW are not eligible for international fellowships (not including branch or local awards or Community Action Grants).

 

  • The American Association of University Women does not accept applications from current interns or members of the board of directors, committees, panels, task forces, or employees of the organization. To be elected or appointed to boards, committees, panels, and task groups, a person must have a recent award.

 

  • Students who identify as women may apply for international fellowships in any field of study at an approved institution of higher learning, or for postdoctoral fellows, in research. The American Association of University Women will have the final say on what universities qualify.

 

  • Candidates that are rejected can reapply.

 

  • The following requirements must be met by candidates in order to be eligible for an international fellowship:

 

  • possess a non-immigrant visa if residing in the United States or have citizenship in a nation other than the United States. Women who now have the status of U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or dual citizen of the U.S. and another nation, or who anticipate doing so during the fellowship year, are ineligible.

 

  • Possess an academic degree (obtained in the US or overseas) that, by November 15, 2023, will be equal to a US bachelor’s degree.

 

  • During the fellowship year, make a commitment to pursuing the suggested academic path full-time.

 

  • After finishing their education, they intend to return home to seek a professional job.

 

  • Be proficient in English and demonstrate it by providing one of the Required Components (see below), which might be a written declaration stating that English is the applicant’s native language or specific English mastery examinations, transcripts from institutions that speak English. Candidates should prepare for and take the exam as soon as feasible if they intend to take one of the recognized English mastery examinations. Please contact the exam provider with any inquiries you may have.

 

  • Doctoral and master’s degree candidates must have submitted applications by November 15, 2023, to approved institutions of higher learning for the fellowship year, and they must include the name of the school in their international fellowship application. Although it is not required to be accepted at the time of application, fellows must include official confirmation from the university with their award acceptance paperwork.

 

  • Fellowships for master’s or first professional degree programs, such as J.D., M.F.A., L.L.M., M.Arch., or medical degrees like M.D., D.D.S., etc., are planned. Undergraduate degrees, associate degrees, and certificates are not acceptable.

 

  • For doctorate degrees categorized as research degrees, such as  a Ph.D. or an Ed.D., doctoral fellowships are planned.

 

  • By November 15, 2023, postdoctoral candidates must show where they will conduct their research, produce proof of their doctorate, and possess a doctorate categorized as a research degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., D.B.A., or D.M.).

 

  • Doctoral and master’s applicants must be enrolled during the fellowship year in a U.S.-approved school that is located in the U.S.

 

  • Graduate Women International members may be eligible for a small number of prizes for study or research abroad in any nation. Keep in mind that American institutions with branches abroad are recognized elsewhere.

 

  • The fellowship can be applied for in any program year, but candidates must be enrolled in a full year of study or research. No partial year of study or research is financially supported by an international fellowship. Please take note that fellowship-eligible programs must finish by April in the fellowship year.

 

  • Master’s/first professional degrees, doctorate fellowships, and distance learning/online programs supplement conventional classroom-based education at colleges or universities. This fellowship program does not offer to finance for online or distance-learning courses or degrees that largely rely on them. The American Association of University Women will have the final say on what qualifies as distant learning for the purposes of these scholarships. Applications from fellows who are momentarily studying remotely because of COVID-19 protection at their institution will be accepted by the AAUW.
